"I see riding lessons in our future"

"I see riding lessons in our future..." is exactly what Tony said last week after Leila rode Rocky the horse at Farmer's Market. Tony is the king of cheap, so for him to say that threw me for a loop!

Leila first rode a pony last year at the fair, when she was 17 months old. She hopped right on, and it was love at first ride. She ended up riding ponies three times at the fair that day, and we took her back two different times to ride the ponies. At Halloween time we drove all the way to a pumpkin patch in Half Moon Bay, just because we knew they had pony rides. She loves riding in the little circle, and takes it completely seriously - serious, little face, and she moves her shoulders to the motion of the horse. It's adorable to watch. *Every* person that's worked the pony rides has mentioned what a natural she is, and how they've never seen such a little person so comfortable and happy on a horse.

Yesterday when we were driving home from Tahoe Tony said (again!) how he sees riding lessons in our future.

I just hope she goes for the British-style riding. The outfits are so dang cute.
