Over the last few days I've gotten fourteen emails asking for recipes for various things from the boutique. So, so I don't have to type them out anymore here they are : )
Vanilla Spiced Cider:
Straight from Heather's blog - you can get the recipe HERE!
Cranberry Meatballs:
Ingredients:
1 Costco-sized bag frozen meatballs
3 cans cranberry jelly (not chunky)
3/4 cup chili sauce
3/4 cup ketchup
3 tbsp brown sugar, packed
1 1/2 tbsp white vinegar
Directions:
Blend all sauce ingredients together on the stovetop or in a blender, pour over frozen meatballs (in a crockpot) and cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4. SUPER easy - thanks, Stephanie for the recipe!
Mint-Infused Water with Raspberries
This is my grand creation, since all I've been craving lately is $2/bottle Metro Mint water. This is just as good, and only pennies per serving!!
Ingredients:
water
a handful of fresh mint leaves
a handful of fresh raspberries
pure peppermint extract, to taste
Directions:
Combine all ingredients and chill!
For the boutique I bought ice cube trays and made ice cubes with an individual mint elaf and raspberry in each one, but I don't think anyone noticed, and next time I'll just throw all the ingredients in without worrying about the fancy ice cubes. This was such a hit that I had to refill the huge pitcher three times over three hours!
Blueberry Sour Cream Cake
Ingredients:
1 (22.2-ounce) package "Twice the Blueberries" muffin and quick bread mix by Betty Crocker
1/3 cup sour cream
1/4 cup whole milk
2 large eggs (I used 1/2 cup egg beaters)
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1/4 sugar
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 375, spray a bundt cake an with non-stick baking spray.
2. In a medium bowl combine muffin mix, one can of blueberrues (from muffin mix), sour cream, milk and eggs. Mix until smooth, and bake for 30 minutes. Cool in pan for at least 15 minutes.
3. In a small saucepan, combine sugar and last remaining can of blueberries and cook over medium heat about 5 minutes, or until thickened. Remove from heat and spoon glaze over cake.
Enjoy!!
